Dear clients, we have a duty to protect everyone at our veterinary clinic: patients, clients and staff. As you know, we have advocated for years that ‘prevention is better than cure’.

We now face coronavirus, and veterinary professionals have the knowledge and preparation to respond. For that reason, and because health authorities are asking healthcare staff to take particular precautions, we will temporarily introduce preventive measures at the clinic.

We will be as strict as possible about appointments and consultation times, aiming to minimise the time you spend in the waiting room. We will explain the measures when you book. You may see us wearing masks when we attend to you.

We must do everything possible to avoid the clinic being quarantined, as that would mean being unable to care for your animals, putting their health at risk. Although you cannot see it, we will still be smiling behind our masks.

Another measure is the ‘one-metre rule’, the distance recommended by health authorities at the time to reduce transmission. Despite this minimum distance, we will do our best to make you feel the same warmth and closeness as always.

Please forgive us if we do not shake hands when greeting you or saying goodbye. We will send a virtual hug: not quite the same, but just as heartfelt.
