Maintaining veterinary services is essential to safeguard the health of animals, who are part of our families, during this crisis
As authorities introduce further coronavirus measures, we want to clarify that our veterinary centre will remain open to maintain the health of patients who need us. Veterinary care is essential during this crisis: in many cases, our work will save the lives of animals who are family members in millions of homes. We will also work to maintain the availability of animal food.
If supermarkets run short of vegetables, rabbits and rodents can manage for extended periods with varied hay and their daily pellet ration. Similarly, birds should have a good-quality formulated diet as their staple.
Please observe the following measures when visiting the clinic:
- Ask staff which specific measures apply when entering the clinic.
- We have removed the reception chairs; please wait outside.
- If you have respiratory symptoms such as a cough, please ask someone else to bring your animal. If that is impossible, tell us about your symptoms at the entrance and allow us to examine your pet inside while you wait outside, where we will keep you informed.
- Only one person per patient may enter the consultation room.
- Before using the card terminal, clean your hands with the sanitiser provided at reception.
- Do not touch products you do not intend to buy.
- Avoid touching surfaces and door handles; we will open doors for you.
- There is a doorbell before entering the clinic. Once inside, clean your hands with the sanitiser dispenser.
- A bell on the reception desk lets you call staff when they are in the consultation rooms. Clean your hands with sanitiser after using it.
- Avoid coughing inside the clinic; if necessary, cover your cough with your elbow.
Best wishes from the team.
